When and Where

​

In the Sanctuary, worship starts at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings. If you need to use the nursery, we have 2 attendants each week to watch the kids. 

You may come in and sit anywhere, there are no assigned seats or pomp and circumstance to follow. 

 

Each month, on the first Sunday, we celebrate Communion all together. Everyone is allowed to take Communion in the PC(USA). Additionally, after worship on Communion Sundays, we have a time of fellowship with cookies and treats!

Reverend Macy Ruple​

 

Rev. Macy is the current Covenant Pastor. That means she is working with our congregation to call our next pastor. 

 

Rev. Macy finds joy in worship and leads worship with grace and a sense of playfulness. Some of her favorite moments of leading are with the kids at the Children's Time, getting to hear their questions and comments about the scriptures!

Macy and her wife live in Urbana with their 4 cats: Mr. Pants, Ruth, Pytr, and Gourdon. She was ordained in Champaign in January 2021 and this is her second call, but the first as a Solo Pastor.

It is really important to FPCD that you feel like part of the family. If you're interested in joining the church, please ask Rev. Macy about a membership class coming up!

Know that you are welcome no matter what stage of life or faith you are currently in. None of us are perfect, but we serve a graceful, and loving, God who created us in their image! Bring you questions, your doubts, your joy, and your celebrations with you. Bonus: we often have cookies!
